At the May 9 MPO Board meeting, member Mayor Joy Cooper from the City of Hallandale was appointed Chair to the Local Coordinating Board for Transportation Disadvantaged Services (LCB), formerly known as Broward County Coordinating Board (BCCB). The purpose of the Local Coordinating Board is to identify local service needs and to provide information, advice, and direction to the Community Transportation Coordinator on the coordination of services to be provided to the transportation disadvantaged. Each Local Coordinating Board is recognized as an advisory body to the Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Commission in its service area.
