The University Drive corridor was identified in the 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan, as well as a 2009 study by Broward County Transit, as one of the most critical north-south transportation corridors in the county.

The Broward MPO will hold three public hearings to consider approval of the TIP. The TIP is a federally mandated document that lists transportation projects and programs to be funded by federal, state and local governments and transportation agencies over a five year period in the Broward area.
